Resolving and Updating Exceptions
Exception Status Override
An Exception can be waived or overridden if necessary.
When viewing the item, locate the requirement under the Tracking tab.
- Select the Edit
- Beneath the Requirement Rules tab, select the most appropriate status from the Status Override drop down menu and click Save.
Note: Statuses will vary by installation. See your administrator for definitions and uses.
A best practice is to include a note regarding the details of the status override.
Once the exception has been waived, the requirement will no longer show highlighted pink.
To override the Status of multiple Requirements at once, click the check boxes for each item and select Mass Edit from the menu. To change the Status, check the box and select the appropriate status from the menu. A Note can be added by checking that box and then typing the note in the expanded space.
To override the Status of all Requirements on several items at once, perform a Data Search and select the items from the results. Then, choose Update Tracking Status from the menu and select the appropriate status. Users can select to have this change reflected on Exceptions or Pending Requirements or Both.
